IVL Dhunseri Petrochem Industries Pvt. Ltd. (IDPIL), formerly known as Dhunseri Petglobal Limited, was incorporated on 29th September 2015 with its registered office at Dhunseri House, 4A Woodburn Park, Kolkata, West Bengal 700020. The company was established pursuant to a Scheme of Arrangement between Dhunseri Ventures Limited (DVL) and Dhunseri Petglobal Limited, approved by the Hon’ble High Court at Calcutta. Under this arrangement, the PET resin business of DVL in India was transferred to DPGL effective 1st April 2016, with the operative date being 11th August 2016.
DPIL is a 50:50 joint venture between DVL and Indorama Ventures Global Services Limited (IVGS), a subsidiary of Indorama Ventures Public Company Limited (IVL), Thailand, one of the world’s leading petrochemicals producers, with 65 manufacturing sites across 21 countries in Africa, Asia, Europe, and North America.
The company manufactures high-quality bottle-grade PET resin, widely used for packaging drinking water, carbonated soft drinks, edible oils, pharmaceuticals, and other consumer products. IDPIL operates two PET resin plants in Haldia, West Bengal, with a combined effective production capacity of 480,000 tons per annum. Its products are marketed under the trademarks ‘RAMAPET’ (IVL) and ‘ASPET’ (DVL) across approximately 55 countries, including regions in the Indian subcontinent, North and South America, Europe, the Middle East, Eastern Europe, and North Africa.
In 2017, IDPIL expanded its operations through a Scheme of Amalgamation with Micro Polypet Private Limited (MPPL) and its subsidiaries, Eternity Infrabuild Pvt. Ltd. and Sanchit Polymers Pvt. Ltd., approved by the NCLT, Kolkata. This merger strengthened IDPIL’s manufacturing capabilities and market reach, consolidating its position as a leading producer of PET resin in India.
Through its joint venture structure, global branding, and strategic mergers, IDPIL combines the expertise of DVL and IVL to deliver high-quality PET resin products with international reach and a strong presence in key global markets.

Dhunseri Ventures Limited (DVL) has entered into a 50:50 joint venture with Indorama Ventures Public Company Ltd. (IVL), a globally recognized leader in chemicals and integrated PET and fiber production. The joint venture was established to restart the PET resin facility of IVL Dhunseri Polyester Company S.A.E., located in the Ain Sokhna Free Trade Zone, north-west of the Gulf of Suez in Egypt.
The facility has a manufacturing capacity of 540,000 tonnes per annum, producing high-quality PET resin for use in packaging beverages, edible oils, pharmaceuticals, and other consumer products. Through this partnership, IVL invests in its affiliate within the PET resin business, enabling operational synergies that enhance production efficiency, technology transfer, and overall competitiveness of the Egyptian facility.
This joint venture leverages DVL’s regional expertise and IVL’s global scale and technical capabilities, positioning the facility as a key hub in North Africa and the Middle East for PET resin production. It reflects DVL’s strategic approach to international expansion and global partnerships in the petrochemical sector, combining local knowledge with international best practices to optimize operations and market reach.
